This sign describes that this stairway led thousands of Jews, Gipsies and others to their deaths in 1940/41. The last line reads "To Their Death."

This is the first of many many pictures of "the Dom," which supposedly houses the bones of the three kings who visited Jesus when he was a child. It is the most breathtaking cathedral I have ever seen.

Koln has tons of ancient Roman artifacts. Some are displayed out in the open where you can touch them. These were a few of them.

They are constantly restoring the Dom. There is a permanent construction area and building where they recreate the various pieces that must be replaced. This is the stone work area.

Above the doorways are hundreds (thousands?) of biblical stone carvings. These were of Passion week.
